Terms of Service

AI Token Router is an API gateway. We route your requests to open-weight language, image, video and embedding models and bill you for the compute those requests consume. We are not the author of any model we serve, and we do not claim ownership of model weights.

The API is OpenAI-compatible in request and response shape. That compatibility is a convenience, not an affiliation — we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a reseller of OpenAI.

You must provide accurate account information and are responsible for everything done with your API keys. Treat a key like a password: it authenticates spend against your balance, and anyone holding it can use it.

If a key is exposed, revoke it in the dashboard. You remain responsible for usage incurred before revocation, which is why we support per-key spending caps — set them.

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.

The service is prepaid. You buy credits, and requests draw down against them. Credits are a prepayment for our services — they are not a deposit, not currency, not transferable, and carry no cash value outside the platform.

Prices are published on our pricing page and may change. A change never applies retroactively to usage already billed, and we publish the effective date alongside any increase.

Requests are metered on token or unit counts reported by the serving infrastructure. Those counts, as recorded in your usage history, are the authoritative record of what you consumed.

Not all credits behave the same way, and the difference matters. Your balance may contain up to three kinds:

• Purchased credits, bought as a one-off top-up. These do not expire while your account is in good standing.
• Subscription credits, granted as part of a recurring plan. These expire at the end of the billing cycle in which they were granted and do not roll over. A plan is an allowance, not an accumulating balance.
• Promotional credits, including signup and referral bonuses. These do not expire but may be restricted to a subset of models.

Where a request could be paid from more than one kind, we spend the credits that expire soonest first. Your dashboard shows each balance separately rather than as one number, so an expiry is never a surprise.

Unused purchased credits are refundable within 30 days of purchase, less any amount already consumed. Email affiliate@xark.io from your account address.

Consumed credits are not refundable — the compute was purchased and delivered. Subscription and promotional credits are not refundable, because they were not paid for in cash.

If we bill you in error, we correct it whether or not you noticed and whether or not the 30 days have passed. A billing error is our problem, not a support negotiation.

You may not use the service to:

• Break the law, or help someone else do so.
• Generate child sexual abuse material. We report this to the relevant authorities and terminate the account immediately, without refund.
• Generate non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexual content depicting real identifiable people without their consent.
• Run targeted harassment, mass unsolicited messaging, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour.
• Build malware, credential harvesters, or tooling whose purpose is unauthorised access to systems.
• Impersonate a real person or organisation in order to deceive.
• Attempt to extract model weights, circumvent rate limits, or resell raw API access in a way that conceals the origin of the service.

You are also bound by the licence of whichever model you invoke. Those licences differ and some restrict commercial use; we list each one on the compliance page.

We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is violating this section. Where the violation is not the kind listed above as immediate, we will tell you what triggered it and give you a chance to respond.

You keep all rights to what you send us and to what the models return to you. We claim no ownership over either.

We do not use your prompts or outputs to train models. See the privacy policy for what we do retain and for how long.

Model outputs are generated. They can be wrong, biased, or inadvertently similar to existing work, and identical prompts may produce different results for different users. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

We publish live status at /status. Absent a separately signed enterprise agreement, the service is provided without a contractual uptime commitment.

Upstream providers deprecate models. When one we serve is retired we will give notice on the changelog and in the dashboard before removing it, except where an upstream provider gives us no such notice.

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions. Where that is the case, they apply to the fullest extent permitted, and nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You may close your account at any time. We may terminate for material breach of these terms, or for any reason on 30 days’ notice.

If we terminate without cause, we refund your unused purchased credits in full, regardless of the 30-day window in §5.

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email to your account address and note it in the changelog. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you do not, close your account and request a refund of unused purchased credits under §5.
